Royal Versailles Ball

ROYAL VERSAILLES BALL

Marissa Roth had the distinguished opportunity to photograph the Royal Versailles Ball, a historical commemoration that took place on May 21, 2022 at the Palace of Versailles in France. The white tie ball was held in recognition of Queen Victoria’s 203rd birthday, and to pay homage to her attendance at Versailles as the guest of honor at Napoleon III’s original ball of 1855.

The Leica Mayfair store in London supported this unique photographic experience by loaning Roth a Leica Q2 – a dedicated black and white digital camera. The results are an elegant and light-hearted portfolio of images that evoke the feeling of the event and the resplendent setting.
